Markus Filzer

About me:  I grew up in Kitzbühel region, in Schwendt, on the mountain farm in Tirol. I got my first mountain experience as a teenager by climbing and ski touring on Wilden Kaiser and Kitzbühler Alps. There came the passion. When I was 15 I started to learn tinker and tiler job. Then I started my ski instructor education, and did Staatl. Skilehrer und Skiführer, years 1999 till 2001. Since then I knew that my hobby is going to be my job and in 2005 I decided to enter a Mountain Guide education.

I worked a lot in different countries as a ski and mountain guide. Especially as a heli skiguide in Canada, South America, Scandinavia, etc. For about 18 years I work as a technical and alpin coach in Austrian ski instructor association. There I can share my experience and knowledge with the future instructors and guides.

Reaching the top of Denali in Alaska, on of the Seven Summits, was one of my best experiences. I enjoy to share my love to the mountains with my guests, doesn’t matter if it is freeriding, ski touring or climbing.

Education: Staatlich Geprüfter Skilehrer, Berg- und Skiführer

Location: Ski instructor, ski and mountain guide on Arlberg (Lech, Zürs, St.Anton, St.Christoph, Warth, Stuben, Dalaas Sonnenkopf), whole Alps region, Heliski in different counties (Schweden usw.)
